ABOUT EVELYN:
Even before you start trying to have a child, when you just have that spark of an idea that you want to have one, you’ve already started shifting your identity and your relationship with your partner. Building a family is truly life-changing, and it will impact your roles as a woman, partner, daughter, sister, etc. Evelyn Coleman Gama, a therapist who has specialized in working with families for the past 5 years, understands how important it is for women and couples to have support when they are taking on new roles as parents. She believes that every family is a system, and for the whole system to be healthy, each member of the family needs to be healthy, nurtured, and connected. Evelyn loves working with families as they are just starting to grow, helping them to navigate the transition and maintain their sense of self in their new roles. She uses a strength-based perspective that starts with the strengths a family already has and helps them utilize their strengths to grow and thrive. Relationships are the most important thing that we have, and Evelyn will help you strengthen yours to help you find your new normal.
